THE Attico SS25
since it’s inception back in 2016, i have been following the rise of the attico and lusting over many pieces that call my name so loud that i sometimes cannot ignore (oop$). out of a shared love for glamour and sparkle-milano based gilda ambrosia and Giorgia tordini took the fashion world by storm and quickly created a cult like following with their brand. almost 9 years later and they still have the fashion world hooked on their bold, chic, eclectic and sexy styles that get cooler with each season. At their most recent show in milan, they stayed true to their vintage glamour inspired aesthetic all while injecting a new spirit and vibe that made an impact in the most humbling way.
“I used to be fragile, but now i am so wild” is what they put out into the world prior to their showing. coming out of failed relationships and trying to resonate on a deeper level with their followers, gild and giorgia set out to own their vulnerabilities and prove a point to all women that fragility is strength.
the overall message: you are capable of feeling beautiful and vibrant no matter what.
with the help of stylist emmanuelle alt (one of my icons in the industry), the girls balanced out their collection with various staples from nike (bodysuits, sports bras and nike shox tl sneakers) bringing sporty chic back and at the forefront of fashion. i’ve seen gilda and giorgia do this in everyday life so it came as no surprise but i am so happy to see it as it perfectly represents my style as well. nothing like a pair of nike shox to balance out an ultra feminine fit.
vintage flair, slouchy, undone glamour, oversized jackets, trailing straps, feathers and sequins…anything and everything that creates impact and leaves you feeling something. that is why i love the attico and care enough to write about it.
let’s not forget about the setting of the sh0w- Venetian glass chandeiliers and colourful graffiti sprawled against the walls in an industrial building to reflect the glamorous yet urban spirit of the brand. I’m sorry-but i need an invite to the next show-ciao.
